AOR Approved Videos:
Kokayi - "Knowus Mayne" Direct Link
(05/08/2008) - It'd be a mistake to try to lump DC's Kokayi into one category. The fact remains that he makes dope Hip Hop and pulls from a variety influences not available to most of his MC/Producer counterparts. "Knowus Mayne" is just one of many standout tracks from his album Mass Instructions.
Everliven Sound - "Original Rudeboys" Direct Link
(04/03/2008) - Talk about making the most out of an empty room and a couch. Siblings Cymarshall Law and Skit Slam were joined by their producers the Beatnikz for the "Original Rudeboys" shoot. Check out AOR's Freedom review and see why this release shouldn't be allowed to slip through the cracks.
Sene - "Stride Rite" Direct Link
(03/30/2008) - One artist to keep an eye on in 2008 is Brooklyn's Sene. Not only based on the guaranteed dopeness of his upcoming collab with Blu called A Day Late & A Dollar Short, but off the strength of his past hard-to-find but worth hearing releases. "Stride Rite" is Exhibit A of Sene's talent.
La Coka Nostra - "That's Coke" Direct Link
(03/20/2008) - The newest video and single from the La Coka Nostra camp should come with a parental advisory sticker. "That's Coke" says why even bother with the cocaine metaphors? Evidence, Slaine and Ill Bill are three artists that truly belong in a group together.
Side Effect - "Ooowee" Direct Link
(03/17/2008) - As you can already tell, we like to keep a solid grasp on Hip Hop from Philly and the surrounding areas. As you can also tell by Side Effect's "Ooowee" video off Dirt Hustlin, sometimes doing it yourself is more than enough.
Pace Won & Mr. Green - "Hip Hop" Direct Link
(03/10/2008) - What better than a traditional Hip Hop video for a song showing love to the Hip Hop culture? Well-respected Outsidaz member Pace Won connected with up-and-coming producer Mr. Green to craft a new album called The Only Color That Matters Is Green, dropping May 23rd. Don't forget about Jersey!
Ilwil - "The Ilwil Theme" Direct Link
(03/07/2008) - Ilwil are best known as two thirds of Tanya Morgan, hailing from Cincinatti, Ohio. To be exact, their names are Ilyas and Donwil. (Ilwil, get it?) If you can get past the long intro you'll encounter an incredibly entertaining video directed by Ilyas himself. You can find Tanya Morgan Presents Beat Thieves 2 at DJLowKey.com.
King Magnetic - "Crown Me" Direct Link
(02/20/2008) - The latest music video from King Magnetic's Everything's a Gamble comes in the form of "Crown Me". It's only right for the King to snatch the crown. Check out AOR's behind the scenes footage from the shoot and keep an eye out for the "Who Made the Rules" video featuring Ed OG and Godilla.
PackFM - "Plucking Daisies Direct Link
(02/15/2008) - Valentine's Day is over but it's never too early to get ready for next year! QN5 Music dropped Baby Blue For Pink this past week to provide you with a soundtrack for romance. The video for PackFM's "Plucking Daisies" from the EP applies a dope first person perspective.
Loer Velocity ft. Donnan Linkz - "Hood Diet" Direct Link
(02/05/2008) - Embedded Music artist Loer Velocity is joined by Donnan Linkz as they break down one diet that isn't exactly a lifestyle choice. Donnan Linkz also co-produced "Mogadishu" by HERO which is our previous video selection. I don't care, this video still made me hungry.
HERO - "Mogadishu" Direct Link
(01/29/2008) - It's time for a little upbeat, feel-good Hip Hop in the dead of winter. Throw in the anti-war message and you have a catchy song with a message. HERO was formed by E-DOT and producer/singer Darp Malone who will release their self-titled debut in February.
Aesop Rock - "Pigs" Direct Link
(01/11/2008) - Anyone with enough patience to fast forward to the end of Aesop Rock's None Shall Pass were blessed by the "Pigs" bonus track. This video features live art by Jeremy Fish and some guy named Rick. (Sorry Rick but I don't know your last name)
Cunninlynguists - "K.K.K.Y." Direct Link
(01/07/2008) - It's time to flashback to one of 2007's best releases. Natti and Deacon the Villain douse us with a little of that country fried, Dirty Acres flavor on "K.K.K.Y.". Where's Kno's air time though? He's the driving force behind the Cunninlynguists' sound after all.
Joe Budden - "Star Inside of Me" Direct Link
(01/04/2008) - Joe Budden had a brief fling with radio success when he released the "Pump It Up" single, but he'll always be a lyricist at heart. Mood Muzik 3 has re-established Joey's position as a rapper's rapper. The official release of MM3 will be February 26th on Amalgam Digital.
Gemini ft. Lupe Fiasco - "We On" Direct Link
(01/02/2008) - At first I had no idea who this GemStones character on The Cool was, but then I found out Gemini changed his name to avoid complications. Gem's Troubles of the World will be released on Lupe's 1st & 15th in 2008. It's refreshing to see a successful artist put on someone with talent amidst all the nepotism in the industry.
Kidz In the Hall - "Work to Do" (Barack Obama Anthem) Direct Link
(12/13/2007) - Recently shifting from Rawkus to Duck Down Records, Chi town's Kidz In the Hall have thrown their support behind Barack Obama for the 2008 Presidential election. "Work to Do" is their Obama anthem and the mp3 can be downloaded at the Kidz In the Hall Myspace page.
Ghostface Killah ft. Beanie Sigel & Styles P - "Barrel Brothers" Direct Link
(12/08/2007) - Pretty Tony's The Big Doe Rehab overshadowed the whole Wu-Tang Clan but it's not a surprise considering Ghost & Rae had voiced their concerns about Wu's 8 Diagrams. Here Ghostface connected with two other artists busy with their own album releases, Beanie Sigel and Styles P.
CAEN Project - "Face the Music" Direct Link
(12/06/2007) - From the streets of Philadelphia come Cimer Amor and Equinox, better known as CAEN Project. "Face the Music" is the lead track off their EP which also features Philly monster Reef the Lost Cauze, Killer Rellik and DJ Kwestion.
Torae - "Callin' Me" Direct Link
(11/20/2007) - Unfortunately Torae's Daily Conversation was pushed back until January 2008, but a couple of months won't stop the buzz. We've already mentioned all the guests, producers and reasons to keep your ears prepared, so just kick back and enjoy DC's first video.
Talib Kweli - "Everything Man" Direct Link
(11/19/2007) - Talib Kweli really reached for the stars with the "Hot Thing" / "In the Mood" music video, but decided to keep it low-key for "Everything Man". The Madlib produced single can be found on Kweli's Ear Drum LP which debuted on the Billboard charts at number two a few months back.

Statik Selektah Interview Direct Link
(03/27/2008) - Statik Selektah's Spell My Name Right featured the roster of either a man with a million dollar budget or a lot of major connections. In the case of Statik it was the latter. We caught up with the DJ/Producer before his album release party in Cambridge, MA. Filmed by Elayne McCabe
Sha Stimuli Performance Part 2 Direct Link
(03/23/2008) - Sha Stimuli's plan for 2008 was to drop 12 CD's in 12 months. I don't think I have to say anything about the man's work ethic. Speaking of work ethic, Sha performed a joint about the 9 to 5 grind that we can all relate to. Filmed by ATorres
Sha Stimuli Interview & Performance Direct Link
(03/21/2008) - Brooklyn's Sha Stimuli took some time out of his heavy grind to perform with King Magnetic in Lansdale, PA. Check AOR's backstage interview with the witty MC as he discusses his full plate and performs "Look At You, Look At Me." Filmed by ATorres
